Douglas, you make a lot of good points, but I want to take you up on your challenge (at 48:11), where you say "They won't sell it to you". Let's visit my gun store and range in SE Michigan and if we are refused on a purchase of 200 rounds for an AR style rifle, I'll throw in dinner.
Lots of great points however, you need to get some of your facts straight. I live in CA...the most restrictive state there is. I can buy THOUSANDS of rounds at a time. NO problem. NO PROBLEM. Yes, they do the background check and paperwork, but you're wrong about this. No one stops you at 50 rounds, unless they're trying to prevent one customer from buying everything they have. Also, they're NOT "ASSAULT WEAPONS" and they're not "CLIPS". Anyone who served in the military should know that. In many states, you DON'T have to do any forms or questions, to buy weapons, let alone ammunition. In Nashville, its FAR less restrictive...no background checks for private firearm purchases at all...;and NO ammo restrictions. Know your laws and your proper gun info, so you don't tarnish your other points.
