I'm assuming the thread is about the Dali Lama even though I'm generating many questions and observations I could comment about. I will start with a question on the last Dali Lama. The traditions are all dead, the lineages have all run dry, dream time is closed, it's all changed and everyone is on their own. My thoughts from what was said were that everything that could have been done, has been done. It's graduation day, days of transition where some move forward some do not, I time to start the cycle over again. Even further these teachers are doing the same, moving on up and a new set of teachers start the next cycle. Just as our short lives in this reality graduate but on a much longer time scale as in lifetimes measurements. I knowing you have spoken of self initiation previously, and believe that to be possible, I feel the decisions have already knowingly or unknowingly been made by most souls now in this reality. I really find its hard to believe many people will endeavor to advance or change on their own and without teachers, what a feat to attain.
Please elaborate or speculate. We both, but you far more than me, know the time that one has to devote to advancement in the matters of spirit.
"Be Kind" was Dali Lama's message. I'm positing that the word kind encompasses many works, attitudes, and in many mediums, such as difficult assignments from above including service, and sacrifice to others.
